COMMUNITIES
A Community is the second largest container on JOGL, in that it can host Projects and Call for Proposals. A community can also be affiliated to Organizations. The difference with a Hub is that communities cannot contain or be associated to other communities. A community relates to a more precise thematic and is necessarily attached to a Hub. Within a community you can have several projects, but most importantly it’s the Feature you can launch Calls for Proposals from.
Think of it as a more focused network of projects and practitioners.
To learn more about how to manage a Community you have created, refer to the Administrator Interface section.
Example. Riffing on the Consciousness Project Hub, imagine you are an informal network of scientists that are exploring the dream state as an anchor for consciousness research.. You can create a community object on JOGL that will gather all the members of your network.
Each member will be able to fill their profile with skills and recent publications, and explain more formally what they’re working on. Having a community on JOGL gives you visibility on all these members at once and helps you achieve a higher level vision of how collaborations can happen.
