ORGANIZATION
An organization is a digital copy of a real organization. It’s an object that’s important on JOGL because of the recognition that in a thematic there are formal and informal players, and all of them have a role to play. It’s there so representatives of organizations can interface with individual researchers, informal groups, students or even intrepid self-taught hackers and practitioners.
Organizations can be affiliated with Hubs and/or Communities and participate in launching Calls for Proposals.
To learn more about how to manage an Organization you have created, refer to the Administrator Interface section
Example. In the Hub example, we used the example of an organization whose goal it is to identify where consciousness originates. This organization could create a Hub on JOGL, but it should also create an “Organization” container on JOGL. This is a great way for an organization to have a presence in several networks at once, formal or informal, and connect to many more people. It could then affiliate this organization to the main Hub, and any member or visitor to that Hub would then understand that this organization is part of this larger network.
