Group Campaign

Group Campaigns allow you to target contacts specifically within any LinkedIn group.

There is no limit to how many messages you can send to someone within the same group, even if you are not connected to them. Therefore, a Group Search provides a powerful complement to standard LinkedIn outreach.

Note: This feature does require a Sales Navigator subscription.

After your search completes and the status changes from In Progress to a specific timestamp, you can proceed to add the contacts to your campaign. Simply click on "Add all new people to connector campaign" and follow the corresponding prompts. For more information, visit Types of Searches.

Group Campaign setup

Setting up a Group Search campaign is straightforward and mirrors the process of other campaigns, with no unique steps involved. Once you've established your campaign, add the usual copy. For a deeper dive into these topics, visit Creating A Campaign and/or Messaging Tips.

Additionally, Group Campaigns also require InMail/Group copy to be input. As highlighted earlier, a perk of Group Campaigns is the unlimited messaging with peers within the group. Should a user not connect with a contact, Sales Connector will automatically resort to the InMail/Group messaging sequence.

  1. After opening the campaign, click on Steps

Group Campaign

  1. Click on INMAIL/GROUP
  2. Input copy - A Request Subject + Request Message is the minimum requirement

Lastly, here is an example of InMail/Group copy:

Request Subject: I'd love to connect with you!

Request Message: Hi {FirstName} - I see we are both in the Artificial Intelligence Exchange group here on LinkedIn. It would be great to have you in my network!

Message 1: I am curious how you are using AI in your current role to help make daily tasks more efficient and effective. If you're open to it, I'd love to hop on a call and chat sometime, even if just to exchange recommendations and connect. Do you have any availability in the next week or two?

Benefits & Value

  • Niche Audience Engagement

For example, let's say a user is looking to target individuals interested in AI.

With Sales Navigator, the nearest criteria would be choosing "Software" as the industry and/or using "AI" as a keyword.

In contrast, Group Search lets you refine your search by aligning with a specific LinkedIn group, like "Artificial Intelligence Exchange: AI Conversations and Collaborations."

  • Unrestricted Messaging

Members within the same group face no limitations on message exchanges. This becomes advantageous, especially when one has exhausted their weekly connection requests.

These messages live under the "Other" tab within LinkedIn messaging.

  • Messaging Strategy

Having a pre-existing commonality with a contact automatically helps social-proof the conversation. This often leads to higher engagement rates from prospective clients.

It is recommended to target only one group per campaign therefore it can be referenced by name in your messaging sequence.

Example: Hey, I noticed you're also apart of Artificial Intelligence Exchange and have overlapping interests. I'd love to further connect and network a bit about how you're currently using AI in the workplace.
