Using Reference Laboratories

This Guide will help you navigate and use the required lookup lists and UI to create, manage, and assign reference laboratories to specimens.

Creating new Reference Labs in GoRev

Begin by navigating to Admin > Configuration > Lookup Lists. If you need additional information on managing lookup lists, please refer to the Lookup Tables guide. Lookup Tables)

Next, select the ReferenceLabs lookup list on the left and click New Item. Enter the reference laboratory's CLIA number in the Value field and the reference laboratory's name in the Description field. Once all information has been entered, click Save Item to add the reference laboratory to the lookup list.

Assigning a Reference lab to a specimen

There are two ways to assign a reference lab to a specimen; during order entry and during editing of individual test results in the Results Overview UI. Once a reference lab is assigned to a specimen the claim generated for the specimen will have the Reference Labs CLIA applied to the appropriate fields on the paper and electronic claim forms.

Within edit results, this field is accessible by double clicking the specimen within the Results Overview UI as displayed below:
