Expanded PDF tools functionality

A simple set of PDF tools you can use to extract, add, combine, and re-order pages of any PDF either on your computer or stored in File Management within GoRev.

Very useful for scenarios where you need to extract specific pages for sending to another provider (maybe even via our GoRev Faxing Module)

Accessing PDF tools

From the main ribbon bar you can access PDF tools here.

Note: Accessing this way is not linked to a specific patient account and the open from Visit FIles/save to Visit Files functionality will not be present.

Or

You can access PDF tools from File Management within Patient Overview. This method allows direct access to open from File Management and save back into File Management.

PDF Tools Functionality

Open

Allows you to open one or more files from your local computerimage.png

Open From Visit Files

image.png

Allows you to open one or more documents from File Management in Patient Overview

image.png

Close Selected

Closes the file you are currently focused on. For example, if clicked below it would close the PatientStatement file (aka remove it from your active files in PDF Tools)

Close All does the same thing but for all opened files.

Save - Print - zoom

Save allows you to save the newly created/altered PDF to your local computer.

Print allows you you to print the newly created/altered PDF without having to save a copy anywhere

Zoom allows you to zoom in and out on PDFs (Apply to all sets your zoom across all opened documents)

image.png

Extract

This allows you to extract any number of pages from an opened document

image.png

Specify the range of pages you'd like to extract or specific individual pages and then click Extract

image.png

For this example, I extracted page 5

image.png

Split

Allows you to split a PDF into two parts.

image.png

Specify the page you want to split on.

Note: It will keep this page in the first half of the split.

image.png

You will then see two "Split" documents as tabs

image.png

Remove Pages

Allows you to remove specific pages from an opened document

image.png

Specify a single page number or a range of pages and click Remove.

image.png

Merge

Probably the most important functionality as this allows you to merge together any number of opened documents including all of the documents created from your prior extract, split, or remove pages process.

image.png

Click Add all open documents (or Browse Files to pull in any other PDFs on your local computer for merging)

image.png

Re-order and remove any documents you do not want kept in the new merged PDF using the up, down, and red X buttons along the right side. Specify the name of the newly created PDF.

image.png

In this example, I named it NewMergedPDF. You will see it opened as a new tab and it now contains all of the files you merged into it in a single PDF.

image.png

Save to Visit Files

Now that we have a newly created PDF the Save to Visit Files button appears.

image.png

One last chance to rename the file before it's saved into File Management in GoRev to the patient.

Also set the category of the file

image.png

Click Upload and you will now see the file stored in File Management.

It's ready for use in GoRev Faxing Module or Patient File Sharing System
