Starfish: Recording Attendance

This guide provides instructions on how to record attendance as an instructor in Starfish.


  • Log into Starfish.
  • Click on the menu icon on the left-hand side of your home page.

  • Click Students.

  • Navigate to the Attendance tab.

  • Click Record Attendance.

  • Select the course section and meeting time you want to record attendance for by using the drop-down option and click Next.

  • Select the attendance category that you would like to record for those students who were not present/on time for the said class session.
  • Once you have made the appropriate selections for all students, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
NOTE: attendance is set to Present for all students by default.
