Engage: Make a Reservation

How do I make a reservation in Engage?

Engage is available to staff and faculty only. Accounts only become active after an employee's hire date. See Engage: Accessing the System for detailed login instructions.

Launch Reservation Assist

The easiest way to search for an available desk or space is with the Reservation Assist button, which provides options to filter by space type (e.g. Phone Booth) and equipment (e.g. Zoom Room, Sit/Stand desk converter, etc.)

  1. Open the Engage Mobile App or visit https://www.newschool.edu/engage.
  2. Tap Reserve a Space in the Concierge Menu (mobile only)
  3. At the bottom of the screen, drag the building address up to reveal search options.
  4. Tap Spaces or Desks to begin your search
  5. Tap the Reservation Assist icon Reservation_Assist_iconpng.png

by date / time

Engaged is designed to help an employee find a place to work or meet right now. The default search starts with the current date and time, however you may reserve spaces and desks up to 16 weeks in advance. Additional instructions are available for filtering your search in Reservation Assist.

Spaces

Reservations for meeting rooms and support spaces (e.g. phone booths, meditation / lactation room) are for 30-minute periods, up to four hours per day.

Reservation duration defaults to 30 minutes for meeting rooms. You can change the duration of your reservation using the Booking Duration buttons.

Select the Other button to reserve for a nonstandard time. This activates options for Hours and Minutes (very tiny arrows):

Recurring reservations are not possible at this time. See also Engage: FAQs.


Desks

Desk reservation duration is for a full day. You may reserve desks for up to 7 days at a time.
