Digital Registration Requirements

The GoRev digital registration (paperless) system is a web-based solution requiring use of up to date web browsers. Most patient mobile and desktop devices should be able to operate the system via each location's digital registration URL without issue. The below requirements are specifically for devices you intend to manage and provide patients for use during checkin.

Apple Devices Guided Access Mode

The Apple guided access mode official guide is located her: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202612

With this mode you can lock the device to a single web URL via Safari. This allows your team to lock the device, hand to patient for digital registration, unlock device to clear/reset/change digital registration URLs between registrations, then repeat.

Android Devices Screen Pinning

Similar to Apple Guided Access, this allows you to utilize Chrome and "Pin" it, locking it as the only application allowed for use. https://support.google.com/android/answer/9455138?hl=en

Note, as of this guide there is no direct way within the OS to allow for locking to a single URL. This however, can be accomplished through Chrome settings such as the URL allow list and default home page. These settings can be managed through use of systems such as Microsoft Intune or Google via Chrome Browser Management.

Windows Tablet Devices

Windows tablet devices such as the Microsoft Surface can be set into Windows Kiosk Mode. Official guide is here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-configure-kiosk-mode

This mode allows you to lock the device to Microsoft Edge and lock to a specified URL (your digital registration URL)

Note, you will need to specifically configure camera permissions and the touch keyboard to show. These can both be accomplished through group policy

Here is a Group policy guide on recommended configurations for Windows Kiosk mode:
