NetFacilities - Work Order System

Buildings is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the campus facilities. NetFacilities is an online work order system that allows you to request assistance with issues such as:

  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Windows
  • Lighting
  • Housekeeping
  • HVAC (hot/cold issues)
  • Event/Room setups

IT/AV services cannot be requested using this form. See Events IT for information on requesting AV equipment or IT assistance for your event, or submit an IT Service Request (ticket) for general IT assistance.


System Access

Log in to NetFacilities using your NetID@newschool.edu and password (do not use your email alias). First-time users will be asked for additional information to register with the system. Anyone with a New School email address can submit work order requests.

Faculty and students should contact their department's PA to initiate work order requests on their behalf. It is recommended that all work order requests (excluding emergencies) should be reviewed by their respective department's operations team.


Work Order Guidelines

  • Navigate to NetFacilities.
  • Log in using your NetID@newschool.edu and password (do not use your email alias).
    • First-time users will be asked to register with the system. This is a one time process and is only required when first using the system.
  • Please be sure to complete all entries in the work order form and be as specific as possible.
  • Once you submit your work order, you will receive an email confirmation.
  • Academic work orders submitted between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays are generally reviewed and approved the same day. Work orders received after hours will be reviewed the following business day. Residence hall work orders are monitored continuously.

Note: You must disable pop-up blocking in order to use The New School's Work Order system.
