You are eligible for all Upstart benefits on your date of hire, but you have a limited time to select several important benefits, so make time right away to learn about your options.
2025 Benefits Guide
Benefits you need to enroll into within 30 days
Within the first 30 days after your start date, review and enroll in the following benefits, based on your needs and the needs of your family. You can learn more about each program by clicking on the links.
Enrollment timing
Be sure to enroll in these benefits within 30 days of your start date at Upstart. Enrolling in benefits is done through the WorkDay Enrollment Portal. If you need assistance with the tool, please refer to these WorkDay instructions.
After you enroll, you cannot make changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period unless you have a qualifying life event (such as getting married or divorced, having or adopting a child, or losing/gaining other coverage). You have 30 days from the qualifying life event to make changes.

The following benefits are available year-round or have specific enrollment periods, as described on the relevant page:
You can activate your account 2 weeks after your hire date. You must contribute to the plan in order to receive the employer match. | Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) A 2- week enrollment window commences about three weeks prior to the beginning each offering period of Feb 15 and Aug 15. |
