University Wayfinding
Below are some resources to help you find your way around our metropolitan campus. Please refer to the University Directory if you are trying to find an employee of The New School.
Before Your Visit
Confirm the building hours of the spaces you intend to visit. See also Academic Technology Labs and Services hours of operation and Libraries hours of operation.
And don't forget to bring your New School ID (NewCard) - you will need to scan into most university facilities.
Maps of On-Campus Facilities
- Campus Map (also on the web)
- All Gender Restroom Map
- Caregivers Support Map (changing tables and lactation booths)
- Library Locations
You'll see we refer to buildings by either a letter, a formal name, or by their address. We recommend taking a look at Campus Buildings (Letters & Addresses) if you find yourself getting lost.
Campus Tours
The Welcome Center at offers campus tours to prospective students Monday-Friday typically at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm with the exception of holidays and university breaks. Contact Craig Tiede to schedule your tour. Tours begin at the Welcome Center located at 72 Fifth Avenue on the corner of 13th Street.

Incoming
Expecting a delivery or package on campus? Most buildings have a bay of lockers to receive packages. Be sure to specify their address when placing your order. You will receive an email when your package has been delivered. Incoming mail is scanned and sent you digitally via email - there is no physical mail collection on campus.
